Site function
Walk Through Japan is a niche travel agency that focused on walking tours of Japan. It was born out of feedback form our Japan Snow Accommodation customers who wanted to experience Japan outside the snow. We receive payments from suppliers for the provision of our booking service. All advertising banners including travel insurance widgets are completely independent from Walk Through Japan.

You must be 18 years of age to make a booking of any accommodation displayed on our site.

The booking process 
Enquiry: No payment is required & no contract is entered into when you submit a booking enquiry.
Availability & pricing: We will confirm availability and quote pricing as soon as possible
Booking: To confirm the booking after receiving a quote and confirmation of availability guests will need to agree to these terms & conditions and make a deposit within a specifies time.
Cancellations: In the event of a cancellation any refund due will be in accordance with the properties cancellation and refund policy, which are listed on your first invoice and on a cancellation terms button located on the final payment page. To finalising your booking  you will need to acknowledge that you have read & agree to the cancellation terms.

Transfer fees
We reserve the right to pass on any extra payment transfer costs such as credit card fees to the guest. The total amount due including transfer fees will be clearly visible before you make any payments.

Walk Through Japan offers four methods of transferring funds.
     1:  Bank transfer to/from AUD bank account in AUD. Comm bank exchange rates are used to calculate the AUD amount payable. No transfer fees
     2 : Credit card payments using AUD credit card (MC, Visa, Amex). Comm bank exchange rates are used to calculate the AUD amount payable.  1.75 % fee
     3 : Bank transfer to Japanese Yen account in yen : 5,000 yen Jap. bank deposit fee (this fee is charged by the Jap. bank to receive international deposits)
     4 : Mastercard or visa for international (non AUD) credit cards : 4 % fee

Transfer fees imposed by your bank
Your financial institution may also impose foreign exchange fees and other fees, which are payable by the guest.

In the event of a cancellation any refund due will be in accordance with the cancellation and refund policy shown on your first invoice. 

Transfer fees associated with the refund will be payable by the guest. These will include all bank transfer fees and a JSA administration fee of $50 per guest may also be charged. The amount refunded will be be the lesser of the amount paid in your currency or calculated using the retail yen to your currency exchange rate at the time of the refund.

Any credits for future bookings will be in YEN and no other fees will be payable if the accommodation is of the same value as the original booking.

Travel insurance, visa requirements & travel warning
We highly recommend that customers purchase travel insurance before paying for accommodation, are aware of all visa requirements & review travel warnings.

Guest identity
The person registering at check-in must be at least 18 years of age. In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, the accommodation provider will ask you to provide photo ID at check-in to ensure that your identity matches the booking identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID will be retained by the accommodation. The accommodation provider may supply this identification information to us.

Accuracy of information, 
We make every effort to ensure all information displayed on our site is accurate; however we are unable to guarantee the accuracy of all information. We are also not able to guarantee that the site is free of errors or faults. 

We reserve the right to change information displayed on our site (including these terms and conditions) at any time without notice to you. We highly recommend that you contact us directly to confirm any information that is critical to the outcome of your trip.

Without affecting any of your statutory rights that cannot be lawfully excluded, we will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (whatsoever and irrespective of whether direct, indirect, consequential) arising from the use of or connected with our site or any products or services purchased on our site. 

We make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on our site for all guests. We highly advise that you contact us directly to seek advise on the suitability of any product or service to your individual needs.

Images and content on site may not be copied, saved or used in any format other than as incidental to your permitted use of the site.
