Early Jan 2020 - Shiga Kogen, Nagano
We stayed at Chalet Shiga this year for a few different reasons. We wanted to be closer to Ichinose village than the Prince Hotel we stayed in last year and we got an excellent price through Japan Snow Accomodation, who have helped us book nearly every one of our Japan ski trips since the very beginning.
We really enjoyed staying here. The people are great. The Onsen is hot. The rooms are spacious and if you get a mountain view room you get what you pay for. There are little niggles, like no light in the entry foyer of the room where you hang your coat and kick off your shoes, but that is just Japan sometimes.

The best recommendation is to say that when we are next in Shiga we will do everything we can to stay here. It just perfect for our needs with two adults and two boys aged 14 and 11.

From the first enquiry the experience of dealing with Hisae was professional, prompt and extremely helpful. The package with accommodation and mountain passes have been spot on, excellent. We are always on the lookout for new places and places that are less crowded. Japan Snow has been great in assisting us with that. I can highly recommend Japan Snow and Hisae to anyone looking for a great experience in Japanese pow.

I thought your service was excellent, you were always prompt with your responses and able to answer any questions I had. The accommodation was adequate, comfortable and pretty much what I was expecting, the staff at the Hotel were very helpful and a happy to organise anything else we required such as booking other restaurants for dinner. The rooms were always cleaned and beds made up each day. Only criticism would be the lack of drying or hanging space in the room, however it would probably be okay if we didn't have 3 staying in what would normally be a 2 person room. Getting around the resort was a little tricky as the lifts all opened an closed at different times which made it a challenge to always end up getting back to the right side of the mountain to ski home, once we worked out the times it was okay. The resort offered some of the best tree skiing I have ever had and we were lucky with some good snowfalls earlier in the week of our stay. Thank you for organising our booking
